Emerging Business Leaders Spread Holiday Cheer to Nonprofits
Wednesday, December 12, 2018
Nearly 200 guests were in the holiday and giving spirit at the annual Greater Irvine Chamber Holiday Party. The Dec. 5 event, hosted by the Emerging Business Leaders Council at AV Club, Irvine, raised more than $3,500 to benefit several Orange County nonprofit organizations.
“The Greater Irvine Chamber is committed to supporting our nonprofit community partners. This event provided us with an opportunity to raise awareness as well as funds for these philanthropic organizations,” said Bryan Starr, president and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber.
All funds collected through monetary donations to the individual charities and silent auction purchases, for such items as a suite at an Anaheim Ducks game, tickets to a Live Nation-hosted concert, and a stay at the Fashion Island Hotel, will go to:
- Alzheimer’s Association
- Families Forward
- Habitat For Humanity of Orange County
- Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption
- Make-A-Wish Orange County & Inland Empire
- Olive Crest
- Ronald McDonald House Orange County
- Tilly’s Life Center
- United Way Orange County
Also in the holiday spirit was Irvine Mayor Donald Wagner who wished attendees a happy holiday season, while guests enjoyed music from a live DJ, and a visit from Santa.
Not only did this event provide an opportunity for guests to contribute to the featured nonprofits, but local companies donated their time and services as well. Thanks go the following companies for their contributions:
- Alexa Lacey Photography
- Happy Cow Photobooths
- Lyric Opera of Orange County
- Moonwood Coffee
- The Printery
