Jessica Welch, IOM, vice president of operations, Greater Irvine Chamber, has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.), the premier organization for education and professional development for chamber executives and staff.
“It’s an honor to be selected for the W.A.C.E. Board of Directors,” Welch said. “This appointment will provide me with opportunities to share at a higher level what we are accomplishing at the Greater Irvine Chamber to advance economic vitality in our region, providing direction for other chambers as they strive to succeed in the communities they serve.”
Welch has been active in W.A.C.E. since 2012. A 2016 graduate of the three-year W.A.C.E. Academy, she is a regular speaker at the organization’s annual conferences, participates on its conference committees, and currently chairs its Emerging Leaders Council.
Welch’s other professional accomplishments include graduating from the U.S. Chamber's West Institute for Organizational Management, earning her the designatory letters “IOM,” which are highly-regarded throughout the association industry; and from Leadership Tomorrow Orange County, a professional development program. In 2017, she was named a Woman to Watch by the California Women's Leadership Association.
