Greater Irvine Chamber Women of Influence Committee Initiates Outreach Aimed at Empowering Women
Tuesday, October 16, 2018
Members of the Greater Irvine Chamber Women of Influence Committee have expanded their objective to assist in the planning of the annual event, to include community outreach aimed at empowering women and supporting local nonprofit organizations.
“Launching this outreach initiative has allowed our committee members to meet with women within our community who are making a difference and inspiring each other to grow, both professionally and personally,” said Danni Remington Smithson, regional manager, Pacific Western Bank, and Women of Influence Committee chair.
As part of the committee’s initiative, its members recently participated in the Huntington Beach Walk to End Alzheimer’s, hosted by Greater Irvine Chamber member Alzheimer’s Association of Orange County. Earlier this year, committee members participated in a shopping event at Gorjana jewelry store in Fashion Island, to raise funds for Irvine Public Schools Foundation, a Chamber partner and 2018 Nonprofit of the Year and the featured nonprofit for the 2019 Women of Influence event to be held March 8, 11:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m., at the Marriott Irvine, 18000 Von Karman Ave.
