On Thursday, Oct. 18, the 40 schools in Irvine will come together to Turn Irvine Orange in support of Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), and educational excellence in Irvine on IPSF Giving Day. Students, parents, teachers, and community members are invited to wear orange to school, work and in the community, and post photos on their social media to celebrate this day of raising awareness for the causes that they care about.

“For us, IPSF Giving Day is more than a day to donate to our Educational Excellence Fund, it gives us an opportunity to bring the community together to recognize that we must all work together as parents, teachers, students, and residents of Irvine to keep our schools excellent,” explains Neda Eaton, President and CEO of IPSF. “We are so grateful for the support that we receive and are excited to unite the community and turn Irvine orange.”

Irvine Public Schools Foundation was founded on Oct. 18, 1996, by a group of parents and community leaders to ensure that changes in state funding would not impact the quality of education that we value as a community. To continue their legacy and join the countless parents who have generously donated to IPSF over the past 22 years, supporters are encouraged to pledge a gift to the Educational Excellence Fund on IPSF Giving Day. All gifts to IPSF are doubled thanks to a matching grant from the City of Irvine. That means your $50 donation will put $100 into our schools.

Each year, IPSF proudly donates over $5 million in grants, donations, and program support to Irvine Unified School District. These funds provide additional teachers and instructional assistants in the classrooms, music programs in every school, grants for teachers to bring new programs to their students, athletic trainers at each high school, district-wide mental health resources, and much more.
