The British American Business Council in Orange County (BABC OC) will formally honor the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce, and Chamber Leaders Circle members Edwards Lifesciences and The Irvine Company during the BABC OC 2018 Innovation Awards Dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The Greater Irvine Chamber is being recognized for its partnership with the British American Business Council, in support of its foreign direct investment initiatives. Together, the organizations collaborate to promote the vitality and diversity of Irvine’s life science sector to companies in the U.K.

Linda DiMario, executive vice president, Greater Irvine Chamber, will participate in a panel discussion during the event, where she will share her experience in assisting U.K. companies as they plan expansions to the U.S., and the Chamber’s foreign direct investment initiatives.

“This is a special honor for the Chamber. It recognizes the value of our partnership with the BABC and our impressive delegation to persuade U.K. companies that Irvine, Orange County is the smart choice for their U.S. expansion," said DiMario. "With the BABC at our side and the strength of our innovation ecosystem, our mission is yielding results now and will into the future.”

The event will feature a keynote by Michael Ray, EVP of Western Digital Corporation and nationally-known journalist and broadcaster Martin Rogers as moderator.
