Greater Irvine Chamber’s Jessica Welch Promoted to Vice President of Operations

Jessica Welch, IOM, has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce. The promotion follows more than a decade of service at the Greater Irvine Chamber, most recently as Senior Director of Operations and previously as Director of Programs and Executive Assistant to the President and CEO.
“Jessica has dedicated 11 years of her career in service to this organization. In that time, she has risen through the ranks achieving a key spot on the Chamber’s executive management team. She continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership and professionalism earning her the respect of her colleagues, the Board of Directors, and throughout the chamber industry,” said Bryan Starr, President and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber. “She will continue to add value in her new role as a vice president.”
With a reputation as an efficient, forward-thinking, and collaborative chamber professional, Welch brings a broad range of leadership skills to the role.
“I’m honored to work side-by-side with a high-powered team of professionals. I am humbled to be given the opportunity to serve on the executive management team and will work diligently to advance the Chamber’s mission and achieve the strategic goals put forth by our Board of Directors,” Welch said.
Welch joined the Greater Irvine Chamber staff in 2007. Among many accomplishments, in 2014, she implemented the Women of Influence Conference, each year attracting an audience of more than 300 professionals and top-tier female speakers who are executives from leading companies. She also oversaw advancements in investor relations, membership services, community outreach, and strategic planning.
Welch is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber's West Institute for Organizational Management (IOM), which educates association professionals nationwide; the Western Association of Chamber Executives(W.A.C.E.)Training Academy, one of the industry’s most recognized professional development programs; and Leadership Tomorrow Orange County, a professional development organization. Welch is the chair for the W.A.C.E. Emerging Leaders Council, and in 2017, she was named a Woman to Watch by the California Women's Leadership Association.
