Greater Irvine Chamber Hosts Demystifying Business in Japan Panel

The Greater Irvine Chamber, in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, hosted on Aug. 22 a panel discussion on Demystifying Business in Japan.
The panel, moderated by Linda DiMario, executive vice president, Greater Irvine Chamber, featured several expert panelists who shared their experiences and successes navigating the Japanese market.
Panelists included Michael Delaney, chief development officer, Worldwide Environmental Products, Pat Cassidy, commercial officer, U.S. Department of Commerce, and Mohammad Sadjapour, CEO, Militus Cyber Solutions.
Each of the panelists shared their extensive and practical experience working with a U.S. company entering the Japanese market. They suggested specific strategies to improve the likelihood of success including patience, understanding the business culture, and customizing products and services to meet Japanese culture, needs, and expectations.
“These panelists know how to do business effectively in Japan and they were generous in sharing their practical experience with attendees,” said DiMario.
