Tuesday, August 21, 2018
A delegation of 22 Shanghai government executives met with Linda DiMario, executive vice president of the Greater Irvine Chamber on August 13. The delegation traveled to Irvine to gain insights on the city and its assets that foster business growth.
The meeting highlighted Irvine’s strengths as a master-planned community; the city is an economic powerhouse, with strong life science and technology sectors, and a robust innovative eco-system. It also provided an opportunity for the executives to learn about the Irvine Master Plan, the Chamber’s role in Irvine’s growth and business resources available through the Chamber.
“Delegations visiting from China are always fascinated by the private sector dynamic in this country,” DiMario said. “They are curious about how the public and private sectors work together and we are always pleased to share Irvine’s success story with them.”
Hosting international delegations and providing business resources drives forward economic development in the region.
