Bryan Starr, president and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber, moderated the Aug. 9 OC Forum annual Housing Outlook luncheon. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from industry leaders on trends and current challenges that Orange County is facing.

Two-hundred guests gathered at the Pacific Club for the sold-out event, where they heard from Paul Johnson, senior vice president, Rancho Mission Viejo; Larry Webb, CEO, The New Home Company; and Steve PonTell, president, National CORE; on housing topics, which continue to be a part of Orange County economic and policy discussions.

“Irvine is at the forefront of housing issues,” Starr said. “The grand opening of Parc Derian, an affordable housing complex that is part of the 4,400 units of affordable housing in the city, is an example of Irvine’s commitment to offer a high-quality of life for all of its residents.”

Prior to leading the Greater Irvine Chamber, Starr served as senior vice president of the Orange County Business Council, CEO of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Orange County Chapter, and as director of government affairs for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Southern California.
