Lorie Eber Named Greater Irvine Chamber Ambassador of the Year for Second Consecutive Year
Tuesday, August 07, 2018
Lorie Eber, owner and principal of Lorie Eber Wellness Coaching, has been named the Greater Irvine Chamber 2018 Ambassador of the Year. This is the second consecutive year in which she has earned the title.
Upon joining the Chamber in 2014, Eber soon realized the value of being an engaged member. In 2015, she became an Ambassador for the Chamber, serving as a team leader for two years before becoming chair for the 2017-18 term. She also joined the Monday Leads Group and served as its chair from 2016-17, following her role as vice chair from 2015-16.
“Working with people in a committee setting is a great way to make the most out of an organization that offers so many networking opportunities,” Eber noted. “Belonging to groups in the Greater Irvine Chamber allows me to make deep connections that have yielded tangible results. Getting to know Chamber members has resulted in referrals, both in-person and on Yelp, which has grown my business significantly.”
Although she is very active on social media, Eber said, “I know I also need to connect with people in person, which is why the Chamber is so important to me. Growing a business in health and wellness requires a combination of virtual and in-person networking.”
For Eber, what sets the Greater Irvine Chamber apart from other business associations that offer networking is it’s high-level of professionalism.
“I’m a business-oriented person. I like the fact that the Greater Irvine Chamber is extremely professional. At the core of its focus is the business community in Irvine and Orange County,” Eber said. “I like the professional atmosphere and that everyone is respectful of people’s time.”
After a 23-year career as corporate litigation attorney, Eber reassessed her lifestyle and decided it was time to shift gears, reduce stress, and find another purpose in life. She initially chose the field of gerontology and teaches the subject online at Coastline Community College. Five years ago, she founded Lorie Eber Wellness Coaching, to help her clients’ live healthier lives by making sustainable lifestyle changes. Eber is a Mayo Clinic Certified Wellness Coach, a Certified Nutritionist and a Certified Personal Trainer.
Likewise, Eber has been a healthy asset to the Greater Irvine Chamber.
Congratulations, Lorie Eber!
