Friday, July 20, 2018
"When I first took this job, I didn't know anyone in Orange County and was starting my book of business from scratch. Through the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce, I have been able to grow my network and make connections with countless professionals, many of which have become friends and mentors,” Ferrari said. “I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities the Chamber presents, and am humbled to accept this award."
In addition to his official Orange County Soccer Club duties, he donates his time to serving Crimson Circle, Thomas House Family Shelter, the Boys & Girls Club, and the Greater Irvine Chamber’s Emerging Business Leaders Advisory Council.
“Ray has made remarkable strides in his career and has helped lead Irvine's only professional sports franchise to be a successful enterprise with hundreds of fans and providing a pipeline for aspiring soccer players, as well as serving numerous organizations in the community,” said Bryan Starr, president and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber. “It’s an honor to recognize Ray Ferrari as the Chamber’s 2018 Young Professional of the Year.”
Each year, the Greater Irvine Chamber recognizes businesses and individuals in Irvine that have demonstrated the principles of community service, volunteerism, and the best traditions of good corporate citizenship. Ferrari is the only individual among five recipients this year to earn an honor across five categories: Business of the Year (Antis Roofing & Waterproofing), Business Philanthropist of the Year (The Irvine Company), Entrepreneur of the Year (Vincit California), Nonprofit of the Year (Irvine Public Schools Foundation), and Young Professional of the Year (Ray Ferrari, Orange County Soccer Club).
