Greater Irvine Chamber Recognized as Top Performing Catalyst, Convener, and Champion for Business Community
Thursday, February 22, 2018
The core initiatives of the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce are focused on promoting local economic growth, advocating for the business community with federal, state and local government, and promoting the city as a dynamic business and tourism destination, and providing professional development, networking opportunities, and support services for professionals interested in advancing their careers and growing their businesses.
In a recent publication of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.), the Greater Irvine Chamber was recognized for being a Catalyst for business growth, Convener of leaders and influencers, and Champion for the business community. These characteristics were found by W.A.C.E. through a branding study to be the most important to chamber members and non-members from across the western portion of the nation.
During its annual convention earlier in February, W.A.C.E. also formally recognized the Greater Irvine Chamber for its work in these areas with top awards for Overall Communications, including the reporting of the Chamber’s advocacy work, and for its workforce development program, Career Edge.
Representing the interests of more than 800 member and partner businesses, serving nearly 100,000 employees, the Greater Irvine Chamber is one of the most forward-thinking chambers in the nation and one of the largest in Southern California.
