Prestigious U.K. Life Sciences Association Announces to its Constituents Arrival of Irvine FDI Delegation

One Nucleus, one of the U.K.’s most prestigious associations in the life sciences field has announced in its news the arrival of the Irvine foreign direct investment (FDI) delegation, encouraging the association’s members to engage in the thought leaders panel “Building the Health Technology Eco-System between the U.K. and Irvine/OC.”

Panelists include executives from University of Cambridge, Biotechspert/University of Cambridge, and Bill Carpou of OCTANe in Irvine and Steven Small, professor of Neurology, UC Irvine and chief scientific officer of the Medical Innovation Institute.

The goal of the Chamber led FDI mission is to build awareness for Irvine/Orange County life science industry strengths, and to encourage U.K.-based life science companies to look at Irvine/Orange County when they consider expansion into the U.S.

The Irvine/Orange County delegation includes Greater Irvine Chamber president & CEOBryan Starr and executive vice president Linda DiMario; Irvine Mayor, The Honorable Donald P. Wagner; members of the Chamber Board of Directors, and executives from Edwards Lifesciences; OCTANe; UCI Applied Innovation; Jones Lang LaSalle; California State University Fullerton & Center for International Trade Development; Thinkbox Technologies, Horizon Consumer Science & British American Business Council; and UCI Medical Center, Medical Innovation Institute.

The delegation is supported on the ground by OCO Global, the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Commercial Service, Select U.S.A., U.K. Department of International Trade, London & Partners and the London offices of K & L Gates.
