The 38 Greater Irvine Chamber members who volunteered for the Oct. 25 Business Outreach Rally were formally recognized during the Business & Workforce Development Committee’s November meeting. The volunteers visited 220 Irvine businesses, connecting with decision makers in order to better understand the needs of Irvine’s life sciences industry and to provide the Business Outreach Resource Guide which features information about support resources offered through the Chamber and its partner organizations.

October’s Business Outreach Rally was led in activity by two volunteer teams: Gary Abraham and Willie Pyle who made the most contacts with local businesses, and Kaylen Munier and Siegfried Kukier, who submitted the most surveys.

In a drawing, volunteers were randomly selected to receive a complimentary ticket to a Chamber event:

Thanks to the commitment of Greater Irvine Chamber members, over the past four years more than 2,000 Irvine businesses have been introduced to the business resources available through the Chamber. Oct. 25 was the Chamber’s eighth Business Outreach Rally. The Chamber’s Economic Vitality Council will analyze the data gained to develop an action plan to assist the life science vertical. With 484 life science companies including Allergan, B. Braun Medical, Edwards Lifesciences, Masimo, and Pfizer to name a few, Irvine is the main driver of economic growth in this prominent industry cluster.
