Friday, November 17, 2017
Linda DiMario, executive vice president of the Greater Irvine Chamber, has been nominated and appointed for a second two-year term on the Board of Directors for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
During the 2018 IEDC Leadership Summit in Las Vegas, DiMario will be on a panel for special plenary session, Chasing the Big Deal, on Jan. 30. DiMario, and three other economic development leaders, will review outcome goals and tactics used in the pursuit of big deals like Amazon HQ2 and others, and how to leverage resources to make it a win for economic development organizations as well as the communities they serve.
Greater Irvine Chamber president and CEO Bryan Starr and DiMario helped lead a campaign in partnership with the City of Irvine and the Irvine Company aimed at Amazon to locate its second North American headquarters in Irvine.
The International Economic Development Council is a non-profit, non-partisan membership organization serving economic developers. With more than 5,000 members, it is the largest organization of its kind.
