Acting Swiss Consul General Meets with Greater Irvine Chamber Executives, International Development Committee Members

Volker Huther of Huther Consulting and Piet Lesage of GB5D, who are members of the Greater Irvine Chamber and active with the Chamber’s International Development Committee, invited the Acting Consul General, Peter Hafner, Consulate of Switzerland, Los Angeles to meet with Bryan Starr, President & CEO and Linda DiMario, Executive V.P. and representatives of Spineart, a Swiss-owned company located in Irvine. On Oct. 16 the group discussed ways in which the Chamber and the consulate can work together and with foreign-owned companies. The Swiss consulate is becoming more engaged with the Greater Irvine Chamber and its Swiss-owned companies to enhance their opportunities.

There are almost 2,000 foreign-owned companies in Orange County generating over 114,000 jobs and $7 billion in wages, twice that of San Diego County. Of the 387 Swiss-owned companies in Southern California, 90 of them are located  in Orange County.
