Monday, August 14, 2017
Greater Irvine Chamber’s Manager of Business and International Development Diana Le recently presented on business culture and opportunities in Irvine to a group of 25 international high school and college students from China. The students were part of a study abroad program offered through UCI Division of Continuing Education – International Program.
During the two-week submersion program, the students’ main focus was to learn about education and business etiquette in America. Le shared insights into the Irvine business community, why it is the ideal location to establish a business presence, and its position as the premier destination for foreign direct investment.
“In addition to business opportunities in Irvine, the students were also highly interested in learning about being proactive during their educational career as a way to help gain a competitive edge once they graduate from college,” Le said. “They asked questions about my own career path and how landing a job after graduating from college in America compared to what they know of the experience in China.”
