Greater Irvine Chamber Broadens OCTANe’s Medical Technology Innovation Forum to International Audience
Monday, August 14, 2017
OCTANe’s 11th Annual Medical Technology Innovation Forum (MTIF) in Orange County, the largest and most important medical device industry conference in Southern California, is scheduled for October 30-31, at the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa. This event attracts nationwide entrepreneurs, medical device industry corporate leaders and R&D executives, as well as university scientists, researchers, and venture capitalists.
As a follow up to the Greater Irvine Chamber’s foreign direct investment mission to the U.K. in February, the Chamber has designed an Irvine showcase centered around OCTANe’s MTIF, expanding its reach internationally. Prospective life science companies identified during the Chamber’s trade mission as seriously considering Southern California as a location to establish a business presence have been invited by the Chamber to visit Irvine and attend MTIF.
“Nine U.K. life science companies and three life science association organizations including One Nucleus, MAP BioPharma, and the Association of British Healthcare Industries have been invited to attend our Irvine/Orange County Showcase,” said Linda DiMario, vice president of Economic Development and Tourism, Greater Irvine Chamber. “The companies invited will have the opportunity to experience our life science eco-system, explore the environment, and meet with potential partners. The life science organizations will also experience our life science eco-system so they can represent it accurately to their constituencies in the U.K.”
OCTANe is a Leader Circle member of the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce.
