The Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce has recognized Dan Han with the Jamie Trevor award, one of the highest honors the Chamber Board of Directors bestows. The presentation was made during a June 27 program to install the incoming 2017-18 Board.

“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award from my fellow Board members. It has been an amazing experience to serve with such accomplished professionals,” said Han. “Working with committed volunteers from many different organizations has helped the Chamber build bridges in the international business community. I’m grateful to have been a part of this process.”

The award is given in memory of Trevor, the first woman chair of the Greater Irvine Chamber, who led the chamber with outstanding leadership, encouraged member participation, and gave unselfishly of her time, talent, and resources. The annual award is given to a member of the Chamber Board of Directors who displays those same qualities, giving of his/her time, talent and resources to the Chamber.

Han distinguished himself by recognizing the value and benefits of an international outreach for the Chamber. Managing a taskforce of Chamber members, he contacted every International-American chamber, business association, and government trade agencies in Orange County to bring together a coalition to promote trade and exporting to the local business community.

As chair of the International Development Committee, he helped launch a full-scale international strategy and paved the way for an impressive coalition of trade and business organizations that collaborate with the Greater Irvine Chamber to produce the now prestigious OC World Trade Week Breakfast & Forum. His work catalyzes a solid platform from which foreign direct investment and trade and export activities are conducted.

His dedication to magnifying the Chamber’s role in these arenas and his foresight to leverage the strength of our diversity will help grow and sustain the Chamber’s relevance into the 21st century and well serve our foreign direct investment and trade strategies.
