Greater Irvine Chamber’s Jessica Welch Promoted to Senior Director of Operations

Following 10 years as Executive Assistant to the President and CEO of the Greater Irvine Chamber, Jessica Welch has been promoted to Senior Director of Operations, effective July 1, 2017. With a reputation as an efficient, creative, and forward-thinking chamber professional, Welch brings a broad range of skills to the role.

“I’m so grateful for the many opportunities I’ve been provided as a part of the Greater Irvine Chamber team. The business and community relationships I’ve gained, and the mentors who have gifted their knowledge and experience, have been instrumental to my professional development,” Welch said. “I am honored to be a part of the many exciting advancements the Chamber is engaged in as it continues its mission to serve the business community and drive economic development in the greater Irvine area.”

As part of her new role at the Chamber, Welch will oversee investor relations, membership services, events, office management, and strategic planning.

Welch joined the Greater Irvine Chamber staff in 2007. As a reflection of her expanded duties, in 2012 she was promoted to Director of Programs and Executive Assistant. Under her dual role, Welch led several successful changes in the Chamber’s programming. In 2014, she implemented the Women of Influence Conference, each year attracting an audience of more than 300 professionals and top-tier female speakers who are executives from leading companies.

Welch transformed other Chamber signature events into highly-successful and profitable programs, such as the Business Outlook Breakfast, attracting 800 guests each year, becoming the Chamber’s largest non-dues, revenue-generating event; and Celebrate Irvine, featuring the city’s mayor, the Chamber’s President and CEO, and presentation of the Chamber’s business achievement awards, with a record number 400 guests this year.

Welch is a graduate of Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Training Academy, one of the industry’s most recognized professional development programs, and serves on the W.A.C.E. Emerging Leaders Council. She is in enrolled in the U.S. Chamber's West Institute for Organizational Management, which educates professionals on topics relevant to associations across numerous industry categories.
