The City of Irvine’s Newly Formed Transportation Commission Meets for the First Time
Monday, June 05, 2017
The newly re-formed Transportation Commission met for the first time on May 16. The commission was developed by the city council to focus on improving traffic management, transit planning, and traffic safety, and is led by Chairman Ken Montgomery and Vice Chairman Steve Greenberg along with commissioners Rose Casey, Sandy Moody, and Carrie O’Malley.
The Commission will hold meetings on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the civic center and meetings are open to the public. At their next meeting on June 6, the commission will be discussing IBC Transportation Mitigation Program, the fiscal 18 transportation capital improvement program, and speed limit changes.
The local economy depends on our ability to move goods and people. For this reason, the Greater Irvine Chamber has great interest in the current and future mobility of the greater Irvine region.
