The Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce (GICC), accompanied by Leaders Circle member OCTANe and trade organization partner California International Trade Center, will exhibit and participate for the first time at the biggest life sciences and biotechnology convention in the world, BIO June 19-22 in San Diego.

BIO will host 16,000 attendees including leadership and representatives from broad spectrum life sciences. In February, GICC led an incredibly successful foreign direct investment life science trade mission to the U.K. meeting with 40 companies looking to invest in the United States.

“This opportunity is a logical strategy following our successful foreign direct investment life science trade mission to the U.K. in February,” noted Linda DiMario, GICC’s vice president of Economic Development & Tourism. “Many of the companies we met with looking to establish a presence in California will be there and we intend to meet with additional companies to influence their consideration of the greater Irvine/OC area as well.”
