The Greater Irvine Chamber 2022 Women of Influence event will feature an interview-style discussion with Annette Walker, president of City of Hope Orange County. Moderating the conversation will be Nada Lena Nasserdeen, MA, founder and CEO of Rise Up For You and TEDx speaker.

Walker, the visionary leader of City of Hope Orange County, has gained a national reputation for her industry-changing insights, outstanding leadership, and keen abilities to bring people together and achieve extraordinary results.
Twice recognized as one of the most influential leaders in U.S. health care (Modern Healthcare, 2019 and 2020), an OC 500 (Orange County Business Journal, 2021), one of the Top 100 Orange County influencers (Orange County Register, 2019-2021) and a Kick-Ass Woman (Orange Coast, 2022), Annette has been at the helm of many top organizations in her field.
Walker considers her leadership at City of Hope among her most important roles as she is developing a cancer campus and network of care that will transform the Orange County, California region –her home for more than 40 years. In 2022, Annette and her team will fulfill the promise made to Orange County to build the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and Orange County’s only cancer specialty hospital in Irvine. This cancer campus disrupts traditional models for academic medicine by speeding highly specialized care to the heart of a community. Annette has also established a network of clinical locations that brings lifesaving services even closer within reach for those who need it.

City of Hope is investing $1 billion to develop and operate a comprehensive cancer campus of the future and regional network of advanced cancer care in Orange County. Lennar Foundation Cancer Center at City of Hope Orange County, an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Irvine, will provide access to more than 400 physicians and 1,000 researchers and scientists solely focused on ending cancer. Distinguishing services include a clinical research center offering access to phase 1 to 3 trials, an outpatient center offering diagnostic imaging and screenings, medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and much more. It will be followed by Orange County’s only specialty hospital focused exclusively on treating and curing cancer, which will open in 2025 in Irvine. Patients can already access City of Hope’s advanced cancer care at four Orange County locations in Huntington Beach, Newport Beach Lido, Newport Beach Fashion Island, and Irvine on Sand Canyon Ave.
