Pepper Russell Appointed to the Higher Education Advisory Committee

A member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) since 2018, Pepper Russell, senior manager of economic development at the Greater Irvine Chamber, was recently appointed as a member of IEDC’s Higher Education Advisory Committee. This committee works to cultivate a bridge between economic developers and higher education to work collaboratively to grow jobs, investment, and talent in a knowledge-based economy. Additionally, the committee connects with approximately 60 members from around the world, facilitates an annual in-person conference as well as regular conference calls with advisors, and presents reports to the IEDC Board’s External and Member Relations Committee.
Russell oversees Greater Irvine Chamber economic development programs including the Economic Vitality Council, Business and Workforce Development Committee, International Development Committee, and educational and career readiness programs including the award-winning Career Edge soft-skills program.
The International Economic Development Council is a non-profit membership organization serving economic developers and economic development organizations. With more than 5,000 members, IEDC is the largest organization of its kind.
