City of Hope Orange County’s Carissa Bechtloff Appointed to Greater Irvine Board of Directors

Carissa Bechtloff, MBA, senior director of business development at City of Hope – Orange County, has been appointed to the Greater Irvine Chamber Board of Directors. She previously served on the Board from 2016 to 2019 and its executive committee in 2017 and 2018. She served on the Chamber’s Board Development Committee in 2017.

“I am excited to return to the Chamber Board of Directors after a year hiatus. I’m looking forward to working with this incredible group of leaders among the Board and Chamber staff, to support the economic vitality of the business community in Irvine and all of Orange County. I am truly grateful and honored to be back.”

Bechtloff has been active in the Chamber, serving on the Emerging Professionals committee. She was recognized in 2019 by the Chamber as a 40 Under 40 leader in Orange County.

In her current role, at City of Hope – Orange County, Bechtloff provides administrative leadership over the business development and physician relations activities to drive engagement and growth for the Orange County market. She has served in similar roles at Hoag, MemorialCare, and Providence Mission Hospital.

She is active with UCI’s Executive Mentoring Program and previously with UCI’s Women in Leadership mentor program. She has served on the Young Professionals Leadership Group, and the Board of Directors for the OM Foundation, which empowers children with disabilities and their families to live a life beyond limits. She recently joined the Advisory Council for the Southern CA Hospice Foundation.

She also received the President’s Leadership Award for demonstrating exemplary leadership while at Providence Mission Hospital.

Carissa earned a Bachelor’s in business administration from California State University, Fullerton, and an MBA from University of California, Irvine in the Healthcare Executive MBA program.
