Allegiant Airlines said nonstop service from John Wayne Airport will begin later this year to Eugene, Oregon, and Austin, Texas.

The flights to Eugene will begin Oct. 8, while the flights to Austin will begin Nov. 18, the airline said on June 29. The new nonstop routes will operate twice weekly, with limited introductory one-way fares starting at $39.

Seats and dates will be limited on the introductory pricing, and fares will not be available on all flights, the airline said. In addition, flights must be bought by June 30 for travel by Feb. 14, 2022 to qualify.

In June, direct routes to Hawaii restarted at JWA after a long hiatus. United Airlines’ inaugural flight to Honolulu took off May 6 aboard a Boeing 737-700 and is the airport’s only nonstop flight between the two cities.
