Vivian Atkinson Named November 2020 Member of the Month
Wednesday, November 18, 2020
Vivian Atkinson, branch owner of Express Employment Professionals, has been named the Greater Irvine Chamber Member of the Month for November 2020.
A Chamber member since 2012, Atkinson holds leadership roles, including serving on the Board of Directors since 2018 and chairing the Ambassadors Committee, for which she has been a member since 2013. She has volunteered to conduct primary research on behalf of the Greater Irvine Chamber through several Business Outreach Rallies, including the virtual event held in August amid the Coronavirus-related shutdown. Atkinson spearheaded another outreach: coordinating Ambassadors to connect with difficult-to-reach Chamber members by telephone to access their needs during the crisis.
“Because Ambassadors aren’t able to engage through in-person new member plaque deliveries, ribbon cuttings, and new member receptions and events, I wanted Ambassadors to continue to have meaningful interactions, even through virtual channels,” Atkinson said. “Calling on business owners during the COVID crisis is a good opportunity for us to understand how the business community is faring and identify areas we can offer support.”
Atkinson has been a highly-engaged member, attending numerous networking and signature events each year—whether in-person or virtual. She served as a panelist for a small business freelancers workshop held at the Chamber.
“The Chamber has been a wonderful community for me as a local small-business owner that serves the greater Irvine area,” Atkinson said. “My business has flourished in the last 11 years. A large part of that growth is a result of being a part of the Chamber community. The connections I’ve made through the Chamber have provided great opportunities to build my business and my presence in the business community.”
Congratulations, Vivian Atkinson!
