Destination Irvine Recognizes Irvine Marriott Employee as part of the Spirit of Hospitality Award Program
Wednesday, February 12, 2020
Art Forman, engineering supervisor, Irvine Marriott, is the 2020 second quarter recipient of Destination Irvine’shospitality employee recognition program. Forman was nominated for his dedicated work ensuring guest and event attendee satisfaction, and his volunteer leadership in conducting an ongoing hotel-wide Art of Hosting training. He also works closely with front office and events staff to perform major maintenance and repairs, reducing impact to in-house guests and meeting attendees. Forman leads by example, remains calm in emergencies, and is persistent while trouble shooting difficult problems.
The Spirit of Hospitality Award recognizes back-of-house and front-of-house hospitality professionals who deliver exceptional experiences daily. Winners in this category are those who exhibit exemplary behavior in workplace knowledge, customer service, problem-solving, relationship building, and creating a warm welcome for visitors. The award recognizes individuals who have made a positive impact on Irvine as a destination and their hotel, from providing input that increases financial performance to implementing new ideas and earning awards.
Every quarter, hoteliers from Irvine properties announce a winner from their respective employee recognition program and submits it to Destination Irvine, which randomly selects a winner for its hospitality employee recognition program. The winner receives a $100.00 gift card to an Irvine restaurant of their choice.
Congratulations, Art Forman!
Forman is now eligible for the new Spirt of Hospitality Award. A Greater Irvine Chamber committee will evaluate all FY2019-20 nominations and select an overall winner to be recognized during the 2020 Celebrate Irvine event on June 26.
