Two-time stroke survivor, award-winning author, motivational speaker, and Executive Director of Southern California Hospice Foundation (SCHF) Michelle Wulfesteig will open the Greater Irvine Chamber’s 2020 Women of Influence event set for Friday, March 6, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Hotel Irvine, 17900 Jamboree Rd.

The first employee of SCHF, a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of terminally ill patients and their families, Wulfestieg has grown the organization from a start-up to a multi-million-dollar, nonprofit enterprise. At SCHF, she fulfills final wishes for terminally-ill patients, has launched a capital campaign to establish Orange County’s first dedicated end-of-life-care home, and worked with Showtime Television to produce the documentary series, Time of Death. Prior to her time with SCHF, Wulfestieg coordinated and executed fundraising efforts for the Fullerton College Foundation and Odyssey Health Care, and established Camp Erin, a bereavement camp for children in Orange County.

Wulfestieg has been lauded throughout her distinguished career with a number of awards including Outstanding Founder for Orange County’s 2018 National Philanthropy Day, hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and she was named one of Orange County’s 100 Most Influential in 2019 and 2017 by the Orange County Register.

Hoping to be an inspiration to those who are struggling, as she struggled with her own health challenges, Wulfestieg’s greatest wish is that each human being finds true purpose, using the gifts they were given to change a life, to make a difference, and to do good works.

Each year the Women of Influence program draws hundreds of attendees and features keynotes delivered by prominent professional women who share details of their journeys as they find their way through challenges and discovery to achieve success.

The Greater Irvine Chamber will present the 2020 Greater Irvine Chamber Woman of Influence Award as part of the program. Click here to nominate.

Tickets for the 2020 Women of Influence luncheon event are $90 for Greater Irvine Chamber members, and $115 for visitors. Sponsorships and tables are also available for purchase.
