Monday, January 13, 2020
Irvine serves as a model master-planned community for cities around the world. So, it’s no surprise that two Irvine developments have made the 2019 list of the 50 most successful master-planned communities by John Burns Real Estate Consulting.
The Orange County Business Journal has reported that, ranked by sales, Irvine communities making the list are Irvine Company’s Irvine Ranch at #7 with 850 net sales, and Five Point Communities’Great Park Neighborhoods at #20 with 553 net sales. Rancho Mission Viejo is the third Orange County development on the list at #33 with 445 net sales.
Communities making the Top 50 list each sold at least 370 new homes in 2019. The 50 developments listed sold more than 31,000 new homes, a 13% increase from 2018, with the Southwest about 30% of that, selling 9,000 homes.
The IrvineMaster Plan laid the foundation for the sustained economic strength, educational excellence, and stellar quality-of-life for the city. Created by the Irvine Company 60 years ago, the plan ensured Irvine would be guided through carefully-phased, long-term growth. The Irvine Master Plan remains committed to the principle of a balance of homes, businesses, jobs, education, and the preservation of natural open space, parks, and trails.
