As a result of initial engagement during a Greater Irvine Chamber led delegation to London in February, Nehal Thakore, global director of Business Development for oneclick AG, a virtual workspace provider, has made the company’s U.S. expansion to Irvine official.

“Welcome home,” Bryan Starr, president and CEO of the Chamber, said to Thakore during the Chamber’s Nov. 19 Business and Workforce Development Committee meeting. “We’re proud to welcome oneclick to the Irvine technology ecosystem. oneclick joins other global companies that are at the leading edge of innovation, and are contributing to job growth and economic activity in the region.”

Also in attendance to welcome Thakore was Kaitlyn Nguyen, manager of Economic Development for the City of Irvine.

“On behalf of Irvine City Council and the city management team, it’s an honor to welcome Nehal and oneclick to Irvine. We are looking forward to doing all we can to help oneclick become integrated and successful in Irvine,” Nguyen said.

The Chamber’s Irvine Gateway program hosted Thakore in April when he was introduced to the area and met with Irvine Gateway partners such as Cal State Fullerton, City National Bank, Jackson Tidus, Jones Lang LaSalle, OCTANe, PTS Advance, Telecromprehensive Solutions, Thinkbox Technologies, andUCI Beall Applied Innovation, among others.

During this month’s visit, Thakore is conducting site selection for the new office and meeting with key partners to facilitate details of the U.S. launch in Irvine. In addition to opening an office in Irvine, oneclick will use a combination of partners and local sales executives to form a strong initial U.S. team.

After extensive research of several technology hubs from various U.S. states, oneclick selected Irvine for its expansion to the U.S. West Coast.

“The U.S. is home to the world’s most substantial IT companies, large enough to sustain demand, and provide growth opportunities and worldwide exposure, which we hope to achieve by establishing our visibility and credibility in the market with our new office in Irvine,” said Thakore.

oneclick provides enterprises the ability to bridge the gap between local desktop applications and online device-agnostic applications. Users will be able to access all their applications and data from anywhere, on any device through a workspace in the browser.
