Destination Irvine Winner in the 2019 MarCom Awards Competition

Destination Irvine received a Platinum Award in the MarCom 2019 Competition for the organization’s 2019-2020 Official Irvine Visitors Guide and a Gold Award for the video “Irvine, The Sports Center of Orange County;” the video “Meet in Irvine, CA” received an Honorable Mention.

The MarCom Awards recognize outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers. More than 6,500 entries from throughout the United States, Canada, and 17 other countries were submitted for the 2019 competition.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for our marketing efforts by Marcom, one of the oldest, largest, and most prestigious creative competitions in the world,” said Wendy Haase, vice president, Destination Irvine. “Even better, this is our ninth year being recognized for our visitors guide by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.”

Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

Destination Irvine worked with Lyon Studios to produce the “Irvine, the Sports Center of Orange County” and “Meet in Irvine, CA” videos and with publisher Lunar Cow to produce the winning guide. Click here to view a digital version of the Irvine Visitors Guide.
