Linda DiMario Details Irvine’s Booming Life Science Sector on DeviceAlliance’s MedTech Radio

Linda DiMario, executive vice president, Greater Irvine Chamber, discussed Irvine’s medical technology and life science sector strength, and the Chamber’s work to expand and enhance those industries, on the latest episode of DeviceAlliance’s Medtech Radio podcast.

“Everyone knows that the life science industry is absolutely an essential cornerstone of Orange County’s economy. The medical device and medical technology sector here is dominant,” DiMario said.

In the episode, DiMario explains the various channels through which the Chamber works to ensure the strength of the life science sector in Irvine, including through its Business and Workforce Development and International Development committees, and its IRVINE READY! program, focused on foreign direct investment.

DiMario credited the Chamber’s role as a convening organization.

“We are responsible for advancing the economic vitality of Irvine and that means partnering and collaborating with our life science and technology sectors and organizations to help grow the strength of our sectors here,” she said.

The focus of Medtech Radio podcast is to highlight the achievements of local Orange County medical device professionals, providing a platform to share knowledge and perspective while providing listeners with an opportunity to learn from and become familiar with local colleagues.

DeviceAlliance was formed to serve the Southern California medical device industry, promoting the vitality of the marketplace and its people. The organization is the only nonprofit professional association offering an inclusive membership for all device professionals, and is solely dedicated to serving the medical device industry of Southern California.
