Linda DiMario, executive vice president of the Greater Irvine Chamber delivered the commencement address to the Webster University-Irvine Campus graduating class of 2019.
DiMario told the graduates, “I want you to understand that you matter. What you do matters. Never underestimate your value to yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, town or city, our country, and the world. You are a vital link to our shared humanity and essential to our future.”
She encouraged the new graduates to be good citizens, problem solvers, solution finders, and ardent advocates for truth as they contribute to society.
“Make a difference. Whatever you do, do it well. Understand that each contribution you make to a job well done, a life well led – contributes mightily to the quality of life for yourself, your family, co-workers and others, a better product or service, a better country, and a better world,” DiMario said.
