Inaugural Spirit of Hospitality Award to be Presented at Celebrate Irvine

For the first time, the Spirit of Hospitality Award will be presented at the Greater Irvine Chamber’s2019 Celebrate Irvine event to be held Friday, June 28, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., at Hotel Irvine, 17900 Jamboree Rd.
The Spirit of Hospitality Award will recognize a back-of-house or front-of-house hospitality professional in Irvine who exhibits exemplary behavior in workplace knowledge, customer service, problem-solving, relationship building, and creating a warm welcome for visitors.
“We are looking forward to presenting this inaugural award to recognize an individual who has made an impact on our destination and their hotel; someone who goes above and beyond their regular role to create memorable experiences for Irvine visitors,” said Wendy Haase, senior director, Destination Irvine.
In addition to the Spirit of Hospitality Award, the Greater Irvine Chamber’s annual business awards will be formally presented during the event in five categories: Business of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, Business Philanthropist of the Year, Emerging Business Leader of the Year, and Entrepreneur of the Year. Through this award program, the Chamber recognizes businesses and individuals in Irvine that have demonstrated the principles of community service, volunteerism, and the best traditions of good corporate citizenship.
Both nominations and self-nominations for the Chamber’s business awards are accepted through June 7. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Chamber’s Business Awards page.
Guests will receive a special message from Irvine Mayor Christina Shea, as well as a city update from Mayor Pro Tem Anthony Kuo during the program.
City of Hope Orange County is the Presenting Sponsor for Celebrate Irvine 2019.
Tickets for the 2019 Celebrate Irvine event are $55 for Greater Irvine Chamber members, and $75 for guests. Lunch is included. Sponsorships and tables are available for purchase.
