Joe Alvarez, a cybersecurity specialist for Cybersecurity and Cost Management Group, has been named the Greater Irvine Chamber Member of the Month for March 2019.
Alvarez has become increasingly engaged in Chamber activities and groups since becoming a member in 2016. Joining the Ambassadors Committee and moving on to become a Team Lead for the group, he takes the lead role in welcoming new members to the Chamber and helping existing members remain active and involved.
Recently, Alvarez was appointed to the Leads Group Task Force as a networking trainer. In this role, he trains all Leads Group participants on networking tips and Leads Group etiquette during the monthly Greater Irvine Chamber Networking 101 trainings. He previously served as a Leads Group chair, and is now a member of the Wednesday Morning Leads Group.
Alvarez has also participated in other Chamber programs including the award-winning Career Edge program as a presenter and mentor, and the Business Outreach Rally, conducting primary research on the needs of businesses in the Greater Irvine area.
In addition to his volunteer leadership in Chamber groups, Alvarez regularly attends Chamber events such as the After Hours Mixers, Networkers Luncheons, and Evening Business Exchanges, and signature events Business Outlook, Orange County World Trade Week, and Celebrate Irvine.
“The most significant benefit I have experienced from being a Chamber member has been building business relationships and friendships within the Irvine business community, and enhancing the profile of my company,” said Alvarez.
Cybersecurity and Cost Management Group is a cybersecurity and cost management company servicing the greater Orange County area in employee cybersecurity awareness and training, technology incident response plans, and monthly technology vendor costs negotiation.
Congratulations, Joe Alvarez!
