Wednesday, February 13, 2019
Emily Hilker, walk director for Alzheimer’s Association, has been named the Greater Irvine Chamber Member of the Month for February 2019.
Hilker’s increased engagement in Chamber events and activities since she joined in 2018 has made her an obvious choice for the recognition. She serves on the Chamber’s Women of Influence Committee, assisting in the planning of the annual Women of Influence event, and coordinate community outreach efforts aimed at empowering women and supporting local nonprofit organizations.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Women of Influence Committee and to get to know such wonderful individuals that are passionate about making Irvine and Orange County an amazing place. Collaborating with the Greater Irvine Chamber network, and making connections to help further our mission at the Alzheimer’s Association has also been beneficial,” Hilker said.
Hilker also attends signature Chamber events, Business Outlook and Celebrate Irvine, and the monthly Networkers Luncheons.
Hilker has worked for the Alzheimer’s Association primarily on Walk to End Alzheimer’s for more than eight years. The Alzheimer’s Association is the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The organization’s mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research, to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Their vision is a world without Alzheimer’s.
Congratulations, Emily Hilker!
