Leads Groups Training Ensures Best Outcomes for Business Development

Greater Irvine Chamber Leads Groups provide members with the opportunity to expand their network of trusted professionals through structured, non-competitive meetings to exchange referrals and leads, which have a proven track record for increasing business development for participants.

Leads Groups members closed nearly $20 million in sales during the 2017-2018 fiscal year, and have reached nearly $8 million in closed business so far for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.

In addition to increasing business development for participants, Leads Groups contribute to the economic development of greater Irvine.

“Our Leads Group members support the growth of Irvine’s local economy in a unique way,” said Bryan Starr, president and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber. “Cultivating business founded on trust results in lasting professional relationships that will serve these organizations for years to come.”

A key factor in this program’s effectiveness is the formal training provided.

“Leads Groups & Networking 101” training sessions, led by the Chamber’s professional staff and Leads Groups volunteer leaders, cover meeting format, guidelines, etiquette, and tips for 30-second commercials and 15-minute presentations, which are components of each Leads Group meeting. Training also includes information on how to effectively network outside of the Leads Group meetings. 

Members already participating in a Leads Group who haven’t yet gone through training or need a refresher course, and members interested in participating in a Leads Group are encouraged to attend a training session, held at the Chamber on the fourth Thursday of each month, 10:15-11:15 a.m.

Guests may attend a Leads Group one-time only, with an invitation, for $25, which can be applied toward Chamber membership purchased within 30 days. Guest orientations are provided following each Leads Group meeting.
