Jessica Welch Appointed to Western Association of Chamber Executives Academy Steering Committee

Jessica Welch, IOM, vice president of operations for the Greater Irvine Chamber, has been appointed to the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.) Academy Steering Committee. As part of her service, she will provide direction on curriculum and will serve as a class advisor.
“W.A.C.E. Academy provides chamber professionals with insights that help them succeed in their career and lead their organizations to better serve their members and communities,” Welch said. “The breadth of knowledge that Academy faculty and volunteers share with colleagues is impressive and demonstrates the strength and collaborative nature of the chamber industry. It’s an honor to be a part of this program as it evolves to prepare chamber leaders of today and the future.”
Welch is a graduate of W.A.C.E. Academy as well as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management. She is the recipient the W.A.C.E. 2019 Gerald W. Hathaway Staff Person of the Year Award, serves on the W.A.C.E Board of Directors and Foundation, and chairs the organization’s Emerging Leaders Council.
Since 2003, W.A.C.E. Academy, a three-year program held in Sacramento, has provided training for chamber executives and professionals on organizational management essentials, such as strategic planning, ethics, and board and legislative policy development, to name a few.
