Irvine Again Recognized for Safety
Wednesday, March 13, 2019
Irvine has once again been recognized for its safety. In its fifth-annual Safest Cities report, SafeWise, ranked Irvine as the second safest city–of any size–throughout California, following only Danville with a population of 45,000.
The news follows a report released in September 2018 by the FBI which ranked Irvine the safest city of its size in the nation for the 13th consecutive year. The information released showed that Irvine has the lowest rate of violent crime per capita of any city in the nation with a population of 250,000 or more.
