Irvine Mayor Donald P. Wagner on Feb. 26 delivered his State of the City Address, providing an opportunity for constituents to hear updates on the city’s traffic improvements, homelessness, two-year budget, and continued development of the 688 acres at the Orange County Great Park.
Highlighting continued financial support of Irvine’s public schools, the city’s reputation as one of the nation’s safest communities, and its vibrant business community, Mayor Wagner told a capacity crowd at the Irvine Civic Center, “People want to make Irvine their home because of our quality of life.”
“Mayor Wagner, the City Council, and the city’s management team have proven to be great stewards of the Irvine Master Plan,” said Bryan Starr, president and CEO of the Greater Irvine Chamber. “On behalf of the Irvine business community, I applaud their leadership and commitment to our continued economic vitality.”
