Ambassador of the Month
Greater Irvine Chamber Ambassador
“All the experiences I have had as an Ambassador has been very positive. I enjoy participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremonies as I not only obtain internal insight about the organization, but also I have the opportunity to meet key members of the company, which allows me to connect to other members in my network to help our business community grow,” Tai said.
In addition to serving as an Ambassador, Tai has been involved in the Chamber’s Business & Workforce Development and International Development committees, has volunteered for more than one Business Outreach Rally, and has been a regular at various networking events since joining the Chamber since 2016.
“I have discovered the secret of what makes the Greater Irvine Chamber so powerful. It is the limitless amount of networking opportunities and the draw of quality and talented business people. The possibilities of growth becomes mind-boggling when one fully utilizes their membership privileges,” Tai said.
Tai has nearly three decades of risk management experience from different industries including financial, entertainment, insurance, industrial manufacturing, commercial airplane, and aerospace. He built a career for 14 years working on the Space Shuttle Program at The Boeing Company/Rockwell International.
Tai serves in a volunteer capacity as co-program chair for the Pacific Coast Exchange Club, immediate past president for the Crossroads Exchange Club, and director of the National Exchange Club, CA/NV District Division.
Exchange Clubs sponsor activities under the organization’s programs of service – Americanism, Youth Programs, and Community Service – as well as its national project, the prevention of child abuse. Each year, communities benefit from the promotion of pride in the country, college scholarships, youth mentoring, service to the underprivileged, and other services tailored to serve the needs of its citizens.
Congratulations, Johnny Tai!
Vice President of Business Development, Logo X
Sibby Khan, vice president of business development at Logo X, a promotional products company, joined the Greater Irvine Chamber in 2015.
In the United Kingdom, Logo X is part of the Manchester Chamber of Commerce, so when the company established a presence in America, Khan, who is based in Orange County, thought it would be good join a local chamber here.
“I did some research and was told Irvine’s was the best chamber,” Khan recalled. “Being new to the area, the Greater Irvine Chamber has been a fantastic resource for meeting some really great people.”
Khan regularly attends Chamber functions, including evening and lunch networking events and ribbon cutting ceremonies. He is a member of the Tuesday Leads Group and serves as an Ambassador for the Greater Irvine Chamber.
“The ambassadors are the pulse of Chamber activity and I love being a part of a group of top-caliber professionals. We have a lot of fun which just makes so much better,” he said.
Participating at the Chamber’s annual Orange County World Trade Week Forum is a natural fit for the bi-continental professional. With more than 20 years of experience running a business in the U.K. in the marketing arena, Khan helped create product launches and fulfilled major promotional campaigns for blue chip companies sourcing many promotional items from China and Hong Kong.
Making clients happy is a core value at Logo X, so it’s not surprising that making people happy is one of Khan’s strengths. His smile and enthusiastic approach to networking make him the perfect choice for Ambassador of the Month.
“I’m so proud to get this recognition knowing how tough the competition is,” he said.
Congratulations, Sibby Khan!
