Energy Bill Assistance Programs
Saturday, May 23, 2020
If your income has recently changed due to hardships caused by COVID-19, you may qualify for a reduced energy rate. If you have recently lost your job, even if you are receiving unemployment benefits, you may qualify for a reduced energy rate through our CARE or FERA programs.
Southern California Edison will not disconnect power for those having trouble making payments during the Coronavirus crisis. Service disconnections for nonpayment are temporarily suspended and late fees are being waived, by request. SCE also has money-saving programs for income-qualified customers, aligned with customer protections from the California Public Utilities Commission.
Details on these programs are available at sce.com/billhelp, or by calling 1-800-950-2356. If you are having trouble paying your bill, contact the SCE Customer Contact Center to talk about a payment extension or arrangement.
