Greater Irvine Chamber Serves on Mayor’s Business Advisory Council
Friday, July 14, 2017
The Greater Irvine Chamber was invited to join business leaders from Irvine to serve on Mayor Don Wagner’s Business Advisory Council. The Mayor gathered nearly 30 business leaders at Irvine City Hall on July 13 to discuss issues impacting business in the city. The purpose of the meeting was to have an open discussion about the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for business attraction and retention. Much of the conversation focused around the desire to attract and retain more high-tech companies in the region to further strengthen the technology brand of Irvine.
“Participating on the Business Advisory Council presents an excellent opportunity to collaborate on generating ideas and business initiatives that the Chamber, business community, and the city can champion,” said Whit Peterson, director of Government Affairs, Greater Irvine Chamber. “Engaging with business leaders from the city is valuable so the Chamber can continue to serve its members at a high level.”
A follow-up meeting has been scheduled for fall 2017.
