Women of Influence 2021
Live-streamed at noon on Wednesday, March 24, the Greater Irvine Chamber’s 2021 Women of Influence virtual event, featured popular speaker and principal of Link Consulting Marsha Link, Ph.D., who provided the keynote presentation on emotional intelligence and self-care in the modern workplace, titled Time to Thrive.
Dr. Link is an experienced clinician and consultant who has worked with individuals and groups in a variety of settings in business, education, and nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about advancing women in their respective roles and chosen directions.
As an executive coach, Dr. Link has helped many women identify and achieve their professional and personal goals, with the philosophy of helping women find the power in themselves to intentionally live the life that brings happiness and success in the ways they individually define. As a consultant, she provides customized programs in the areas of leadership, diversity, team building, and board development.
A special awards segment of the program recognized an outstanding woman in each of eight categories who have made an impact on their industries and the Orange County community.
Entrepreneur is a woman who founded an organization and has excelled in strategy, operations, and finances. Achievement is measured by overall business success rather than business size.
Innovator is a woman for innovations she has initiated, developed, or contributed in extraordinary ways to the organization or industry she serves.
Executive is a woman who effectively leads all or some part of an organization in exemplary ways.
Advocate is a woman who positively influences government and decision-making bodies to achieve favorable outcomes on behalf of her industry.
Authentic Leader is a woman who has emerged as a leader in her field. She has demonstrated leadership through honest relationships with colleagues, provided and supported mentorship, and facilitated an organizational culture of openness.
Game Changer is a woman who has developed a concept, idea, or procedure that affects a significant shift in the current manner of doing or thinking about something. Her ideas have had a positive impact on her industry or the community.
Rising Star is an early-career woman, volunteer, intern, or student who demonstrates the potential to make a significant leadership impact in the future.
