Linda DiMario, executive vice president, Greater Irvine Chamber, received an Excellence in Business award from the British American Business Council of Orange County (BABC), and the Leadership in the Success of Orange County award from OCTANe.
“Receiving these awards is such an honor,” said DiMario. “The partnership that we have built with both organizations is essential to the economic development work of the Chamber, particularly our work to help U.K. companies expand here, and our mission to enhance the vitality of the innovation and life science sectors in Irvine.”
Formally presented during the Sept. 26 British American Business Awards event, the Business Excellence recognition is a result of DiMario’s strong partnership with the BABC, and their role in the advancement of the Chamber’s foreign direct investment initiative put forth to promote the vitality and diversity of Irvine’s life science sector to companies in the U.K.
Separately, DiMario was recognized by OCTANe, during its Sept. 27 2018 High Tech Innovations Awards event, for her role partnering with the organization to grow the impact of Irvine’s innovation ecosystem.
“Linda has proven time and again the effectiveness of her work to further the strength of Irvine as an economic powerhouse. The recognition she has received from these highly-respected organizations is a testament to that,” said Bryan Starr, President and CEO, Greater Irvine Chamber.
DiMario served as a panelist during the BABC event alongside fellow award recipients Leigh Volkland, senior director of government affairs, Edwards Lifesciences, and Lauren Kelly, senior vice president, Irvine Company.
