Greater Irvine Chamber, SBA Host Roundtable Discussion Surrounding Trade and Export Poilicy

The Greater Irvine Chamber and U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) hosted a roundtable discussion on June 5, led by Bryan O’Byrne, SBA’s Chief of International Affairsand Trade Policy. The team welcomed 35 representatives from a wide cross section of local businesses, International American Chambers, and consulates.
During the roundtable, O’Byrne discussed the latest updates on trade policy topics and the SBA’s role in providing representation of small business in the negotiation of trade agreements. He also touched on reducing, and attempting to eliminate barriers that disproportionately impact business growth.
Attendees had an opportunity to provide direct feedback on what changes would be beneficial to export growth, and were provided information on resources that could be helpful in navigating obstacles surrounding foreign investment and exporting.
