The Tustin Unified School District has announced three administrative moves, which will begin July 1, for the 2018-19 school year.

Will Neddersen, principal of Red Hill Elementary School, has been appointed Adult Education Coordinator.  He replaces Virginia Burrows, who has elected to return to the classroom as an adult education teacher.

Neddersen has served as principal of Red Hill School for the past eight years.  He has worked in education for 21 years – all in TUSD.  Prior to Red Hill, he was principal of Marjorie Veeh Elementary School for three years.  Neddersen has also been an assistant principal at Hewes Middle School, teacher on special assignment in elementary science at the District Administration Center and teacher at Benjamin Beswick Elementary School.

“I have truly enjoyed being a part of the Red Hill team and building a strong community committed to the success of our students,” Neddersen said.  “This new position will allow me the opportunity to develop as a leader.”

Dr. CK Green, principal of C.E. Utt Middle School, has elected to return to the position of high school assistant principal within the District.

Dr. Green has worked in education for 18 years.  Prior to Utt, he was assistant principal at Tustin High School for three years.   He has also served as a high school assistant principal in another school district, secondary mathematics curriculum specialist, middle school mathematics teacher and high school baseball coach.

“It has been a privilege and honor working with staff and students at Utt School,” Green said.  “I look forward to supporting Utt Falcons once they get to the high school level.”

Jaclyn Spangler, assistant principal at Hicks Canyon Elementary School, will become assistant principal at Orchard Hills School.  She will join Principal Cindy Agopian and Assistant Principal Mai Huynh as the school expands to include grades K-4 in the fall along with current grades 5-8.

Spangler has worked in education for 11 years – all in TUSD.  Prior to Hicks Canyon, she served as interim assistant principal at Foothill High School, teacher on special assignment/digital learning coach at the secondary level (grades 6-12), Response to Instruction (RtI) English Language Development and math teacher at Peters Canyon Elementary School, sixth-grade Core math teacher at Pioneer Middle School, and seventh- and eighth-grade Core/Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) teacher at C.E. Utt Middle School.   Most recently, Spangler received the Leading Edge Administrator Certification from the Orange County Department of Education.

"I look forward to working with the staff, students and parents at Orchard Hills,” Spangler said.  “I am committed to providing the best teaching and learning environment for all, while expanding on the great things that are already happening there."

TUSD Chief Personnel Officer Dr. Chuck Lewis will work with Red Hill and Utt schools to begin identifying the qualities and characteristics for their next principals.
