Each year, the Orange County World Trade Week Breakfast and Forum takes the opportunity to showcase a business that has expanded its markets through successful export strategies. The Greater Irvine Chamber, in partnership with the District Export Council and Women in Trade is seeking nominations for the 2018 Exporter of the Year Award

Eligible entrants may be small, medium, or large companies in Orange County, which have made the decision to expand their markets and grow their sales by exporting. The Chamber is looking to share interesting and compelling stories and novel strategies leading to success in exporting.

“We want to recognize companies that have a really good export story to tell,” said Linda DiMario, executive vice president of the Greater Irvine Chamber. “This application is not as arduous as others because it is all about the experience - what they learned and how they did it – that’s what our attendees want to know.”

The Exporter of the Year Award will be formally presented as a prelude to one of the most popular program segments of the OC World Trade Week event, held on May 17, 2018 at the Irvine Marriott: the Export Success Stories panel, which this year includes executives from TS Pharma Inc., NeoMedix Corporation, and Toshiba, Electronic Imaging Division, who will share details of their company experience with exporting their products around the globe.

The deadline for Exporter of the Year nomination submissions is April 15. Early submissions are appreciated. Self-nominations are also accepted.

Nomination forms may be downloaded here.

First held in 2015, the Greater Irvine Chamber’s Orange County World Trade Week (OCWTW) Breakfast and Forum brings together hundreds of professionals from Orange County’s International-American chambers and business associations, public sector and private trade organizations, and the business community to grow awareness of the impact of international trade and export in Orange County.
