Eldonna Lewis Fernandez, Retired MSgt., USAF Serves on Women of Influence Speaker Lineup
Friday, February 23, 2018
Eldonna Lewis Fernandez, retired MSgt., United States Air Force, will address hundreds of professional women at the Greater Irvine Chamber’s Women of Influence event on Thursday, March 8, 11:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Irvine Marriott.
The award-winning speaker enlivens every speaking engagement with activities, and says, “You remember it because you’re experiencing the information rather than passively listening to it.”
As CEO of Dynamic Vision International Inc., Fernandez offers leadership, negotiation, and communication training to corporate clients and small business owners internationally. Her business is built on a 23-year career as a contract specialist in the Air Force, where she negotiated hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of domestic and international contracts – everything from pens and paper to office machines, automotive parts, and aircraft maintenance.
After retiring from the Air Force, Fernandez spent 10 years as a contracts administrator, negotiator and systems analyst for aerospace companies. She worked with Raytheon and the U.S. Navy on the F-18 Radar program, and with Sparta and Parsons on satellite launch programs for the Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base.
She has written two books: “Think Like A Negotiator: 50 Ways to Create Win Win Results by Understanding the Pitfalls to Avoid” and “GoPINK Rules of Engagement: Five Foundational Principles for Taking Control of the Handlebars of Your Life.”
Along with Fernandez is fellow opening speaker Cassandra Miller, CEO of ridesharing company See Jane Go, and keynote speaker Rosie O’Neill, co-founder and chief creative officer of luxury candy boutique Sugarfina. The women will discuss details of their journeys that allowed them to “be bold” in their careers.
Following up on her high-energy panel participation at last year’s event, Kim Shepherd will return to the 2018 Women of Influence as Master of Ceremonies. Shepherd, chairwoman of Decision Toolbox, a provider of recruitment solutions, will keep the program rolling as she ushers in the dynamic lineup of speakers with her bold brand of charisma.
Immediately following this presentation of inspirational stories by some of the boldest entrepreneurs you’ll ever meet, the event will conclude with a Champagne reception and Sugarfina tasting experience.
The luncheon event will also provide guests with the opportunity to share their good fortune with others. Working Wardrobes will be on hand to accept new or gently-used accessories that can be used to help women (and men) who are overcoming obstacles and pursuing reentry into the workforce.
Women of Influence 2018 will be held at the Irvine Marriott, located at 18000 Von Karman Ave. Check in begins at 11:30 a.m. Program begins promptly at 12:00 p.m.
Tickets are $90 for Greater Irvine Chamber members, and $105 for visitors. Sponsorships and tables are also available for purchase.
